I wrote this after my workout this morning.
There's a figure in your doorway
And you can't see the light
He sees your hiding places
And where you go at night
These restless dreams
Let you know your life isn't right
I don't know how you can resist it
Only God knows why you fight
The chemicals are calling you
And the rain's come out to play
All the heart of yesteryear
Has left you here today
With a trembling hand I write a poem
But can't think what to say
There is no love for you here
You'd best be on your way
