Jared Dovers and his epic battle with the couch
Ok, so the other night I went to Scottsboro and Jared and I went to the docks (hicktown/small bar for those of you who are not scottsboro natives) Michelle Vorce and Kayla Jones were along for the ride too...I never dreamed in a thousand years I'd see either one of them that evening when I was driving to the boro. It was a nice time and everyone enjoyed themselves...I think. After we left Jared and I went back to his house and I played his "classical" guitar for a while...whilst he spoke with his lover on the telephone. I dunno how long he talked but I played for a while...a while until I got tired of playing and that usually takes a WHILE....but I put the guitar up and laid down for the evening. Jared comes in and is like, "I'm sleeping on this couch"--but all during the night I'd wake up and see him flailing over there. He should have just taken the bed and put my skinny self on the couch...so gracious was my host. So the next thing I know, it's 7:15AM and my phone is ringing...I have overslept (cause I completely forgot to set an alarm) and I am missing my shift at the front desk...but it's ok, Thiago covered it and I'm taking his next tuesday...God Bless that Brazilian. So I drove back to Huntsville pretty much when I woke up. Brian called me when I was almost there and was like, "dude where are you?" (Brian is my younger brother) for some reason (he was picking up his car from Jerry Damson) he was at my residence hall waiting on me. So, I took a shower and then we went out for breakfast.
So that was my fun experience in Scottsboro...and I needed it cause it was getting awfully mundane here in NCRH...I needed to get away.
I met Brad and Mandy's dog (Daisy Mae) She was alright...but a little high strung. Poor Maggie Moo (our golden/chocoloate lab mutt puppy) got hit by a car. She's still alive but she's been at the vet for a few days. I tell you that Linda Kay is a dog hittin machine.
Time for the sidenotes:

Time for the sidenotes:
- I was very irresponsible when I missed my desk shift.
- Ben Folds' new album "Songs For Silverman" is really good and you should totally get it.
- A phone call at 2AM is probably the oddest first conversation time I've ever experienced. You're a cool girl Erin. Stay golden.
- The band at the Docks played "Sweet Malissa" it was pretty good.
- Jared Dovers you're a hell of a guy.
- Joe Ybarra I decline to comment on you.
- A "shout out" to Rachel. Hello.
- Thank God that next week I'm not team leader anymore.
- Checkouts can be confusing when people don't write down all the necessary information on the rosters...sorry, that makes no sense unless you're a CA.
- S'mores...I don't like them. But I do like throwing flaming marshmallows at trees.
- Danielle.
- Here's to good music.
25 days strong.
